Your benefits, explained in plain English
Figuring out insurance should never be the reason someone waits to get help. At North Jersey Recovery Center in Fair Lawn, our admissions team verifies your health insurance benefits for you, at no cost, usually the same day you call, and explains exactly what your plan may cover for Partial Care, Intensive Outpatient, Evening IOP, Outpatient treatment, and Medication-Assisted Treatment. You get a clear picture before you make a single decision.
Most commercial health plans include behavioral health benefits for outpatient substance use and co-occurring mental health treatment. Under the federal Mental Health Parity and Addiction Equity Act, those benefits must be comparable to the plan’s medical benefits. What you pay depends on your specific plan design, your deductible and coinsurance, and whether we are in your plan’s network. That is what we sort out for you.
Insurance plans we work with
We regularly verify and bill plans from the carriers below. Click any carrier to see how coverage for IOP, PHP, OP, and MAT typically works with that plan, and how our verification process applies.

How verification works
- Reach out. Call (877) 632-5541 any time, day or night, or complete our secure online verification form. Have your insurance card handy; it takes about two minutes.
- We do the legwork. Our admissions team contacts your insurer or its behavioral health administrator and confirms your benefits for PHP, IOP, OP, and MAT: deductible and how much has been met, copay or coinsurance, out-of-pocket maximum, network status, and any authorization requirements.
- We explain it clearly. You receive a plain-English summary of what your plan may cover and what your estimated out-of-pocket responsibility looks like. There is no charge and no obligation.
- You decide what comes next. If you are ready, your clinical assessment happens the same day you call, and once our clinical team approves your level of care you can start in Fair Lawn as soon as the next day. If you need medically supervised detox first, we coordinate it with accredited partners and hold your place.
Everything you share is confidential and protected under HIPAA.
How coverage works, in plain language
Insurance for treatment comes down to four numbers: your deductible, your copay or coinsurance, your out-of-pocket maximum, and how your specific plan treats each service. Those numbers differ by carrier, by product, and by employer, which is why we check your exact plan rather than quoting a rule of thumb. Whatever your plan says, you hear it from us in plain language before you begin, with an estimate you can rely on.
Authorizations, handled for you
Many plans ask for prior authorization before Partial Care or IOP begins, and they review continued care periodically. Our clinical and admissions teams prepare and submit those requests and manage ongoing reviews so you can focus on treatment.
If you don’t have insurance, or your plan doesn’t cover treatment
Call us anyway. Our admissions team talks through every option with you privately, and no one is turned away from that conversation because of how they would pay.
