I can't say enough good things about NJRC. Having had experience with different treatment programs over the years, NJRC genuinely stands out. What impressed me most is how individualized the care is. Clients are treated based on their own circumstances and needs, and not like just another statistic going through a program. The therapists, psychiatric staff, facilitators, case managers, techs, and operations staff are all professional, knowledgeable, and genuinely invested in helping people succeed. You can tell there's a real effort across the board to understand each person's situation and give them the support they actually need. The various programs themselves are thoughtfully designed as well. You're exposed to practical tools, knowledge, and resources that help you better understand yourself, address the issues behind substance use, and ultimately make lasting changes. If you or a loved one are looking for help and aren't sure where to go, this is definitely a place I'd recommend.

My friend stayed here and had an absolute terrible experience. She was improperly switched from her housing into somewhere else with no true explanation as to why. It was extremely shady, unsafe and unprofessional. Please do not stay here !

My journey to recovery did not begin with New Jersey Recovery Center (NJRC). I have struggled with addiction for many years and have been in and out of rehabs and IOPs. I have had both good and bad experiences, often with facilities promising services that never happened or leaving me in the dark about my own recovery plan. In January 2026, I was at my absolute worst and once again in the throes of addiction. As we know, addiction is progressive, and mine had progressed to a place that truly scared me. I had previously been in contact with a staff member from NJRC, and in what felt like my only moment of clarity, I told my husband, “Call NJRC.” From that day forward, they guided me every step of the way. NJRC helped guide me through detox and residential treatment and strongly encouraged me to continue into PHP. I was hesitant, but thankfully I trusted their recommendation. When I arrived, I immediately felt something different. NJRC treated me like a person—not a diagnosis or another client walking through the door. They took the time to know me, understand me, and make me feel like my recovery truly mattered. What makes NJRC so special is that they do what they say they are going to do. They provide weekly individual therapy—and it actually happens. Their peer-centered groups teach coping skills, encourage honest conversations, and provide tools that can actually be used outside of treatment. The staff genuinely care. They listen, they support you, they hold you accountable when you need it, and they celebrate your progress with you. I never felt like I was going through recovery alone. During my time with NJRC, I have formed meaningful friendships, strengthened my relationships with my family, regained my confidence, learned to set boundaries, and discovered my beliefs, values, and purpose. For so many years, I hid behind a mask. NJRC helped me realize that I don't have to anymore. They gave me a safe place to finally figure out who I am. Difficult things still happen, but today I handle them differently. I don't look for a drink anymore. I look for a tool. I feel today. I communicate today. I live life today. Today, I am 228 days sober, and there are not enough words to express my gratitude to NJRC. Every person there has played a part in helping me become the person I am today. They helped me rebuild relationships with my family, rediscover myself, believe in myself again, and understand that recovery isn't simply about not drinking—it's about learning how to live again, happy, joyous, and free. NJRC didn't just help me get sober. They helped me build a life that I want to stay sober for. I will forever be grateful, and I hope that one day I can give back and help someone else the way NJRC has helped me. With gratitude, Jodi B.

I don't think you could find a better place to heal than NJRC. The staff and counselors all care deeply about their patients and it shows in everything they do. If you need help with mental health or addiction, this is the place to go.

This place literally saved my life & that is not an exaggeration by any means. The “rehab” I was at before coming to NJRC seemed like it could have cared less if I lived, relapsed or died. I was in excruciating pain the entire time I was there and just kept getting worse. And I thought NJRC was going to be more of the same. But thank the good lord I was dead wrong. Everyone from the techs in the housing like Alex, Luis, etc.. to the people who run the center - Ritchie, Jeremy, Tommy, etc.. helped me to get well every single day… plus, my Therapist Rachel was a Godsend. She is like the sweetest person on the planet & helped get my life back on track…. to the group facilitators like Phil, Theresa, Jessica, Karen, etc.. who made each and everyday a learning experience.. to the house managers Sue & my man Kenny who is from Queens, NY like myself who made my stay there as comfortable as possible… not to mention people like Courtney, Kiyana, Phyllis(nutritionist), Dr. Cherrie Zapata who all helped in too many ways to count… I could go on & on… I highly recommend this place to anyone who is trying to better their life by giving up drugs & alcohol… God Bless NJRC!…(It would have been nice if someone from NJRC thanked me for my review..😏)

There is something special in the air within the walls of NJRC Fairlawn Location. Whether it’s staff or other clientele the mindset is support and familial type community first and business second. It’s a robust and well gathered group of professionals that can’t be matched in any other setting. A true one of a kind opportunity to enter as you are and leave as the best possible version of yourself imaginable in the present moment. Love is the glue here and the only hesitation with NJRC is the program coming to an end as you won’t want to leave!

My cousin had a very positive experience with the NJRC program. The staff were professional, supportive, and genuinely cared about helping participants succeed. They provided guidance, resources, and encouragement throughout the process, making a difficult situation much easier to navigate. The program helped build confidence and provided valuable tools for moving forward. Our family is grateful for the support and dedication shown by everyone involved. I would highly recommend NJRC to anyone who could benefit from their services.
