Getting Here

North Jersey Recovery Center is at 22-08 Route 208, Suite 2, in Fair Lawn, a short drive from most of Bergen and Passaic counties:

  • Hawthorne: about 5 minutes
  • Ridgewood: about 10 minutes
  • Paramus: about 10–15 minutes
  • Paterson: about 10–15 minutes
  • Hackensack: about 15–20 minutes
  • Clifton: about 15–20 minutes
  • Englewood: about 20 minutes
  • Wayne: about 20–25 minutes
  • Montclair: about 25–30 minutes

Parking: Free parking with more than 200 spaces.

Entrance: New clients and walk-ins, please use the front entrance on the left side of the building. Current clients can also use the back entrance, at the first ramp behind the building.

NJRC is amazing. The staff are reliable, caring and empathetic. The level of care matches well constructed group sessions, individual therapy and medical nurses. North Jersey Recovery Center in Fair Lawn, NJ, helped save my friend’s life, and I will always be grateful. Coming to NJRC was one of the best decisions I've made. Before seeking real treatment, I tried many different ways to handle things on my own, but NJRC has provided me the support and guidance I had been missing all along. The staff and counselors are both knowledgeable and compassionate, and the environment encourages people to support one another. You can tell that the staff genuinely cares about the people they work with and wants to see them do well. I’ve seen firsthand how much effort everyone puts in, and it really makes a difference. I WOULD GIVE ZERO STARS IF I COULD.

I spent about a year or longer in this program and was very close with the clients that attended at Fair Lawn and Cliffside Park. It hurts me to say that NJRC does not operate legally or humanely when it comes to assuring patient rights and patient discretion when making a decision. In the end, every patient I've ever met while attending NJRC has relapsed, many of which signing themselves out due to not feeling fulfilled by the program. Obviously, these are not going to be the people taking time to sit and write a review for this place.
I have also noticed that since leaving the program I have been scouted multiple times by their management - its almost like they know their program isn't helping people stay sober and they set them up for relapse, and then scout them out and bring them back to treatment to make money off of them a second time. I think there's a name for that........Body brokers.
