Hudson County is the fastest-growing source of clients North Jersey Recovery Center has: more than half of everyone we have ever treated from Jersey City, North Bergen, Hoboken, Union City, Guttenberg, West New York, Bayonne, Kearny and Secaucus started with us in 2025 or 2026. It is also where the gap between the people who call us and the people who come in is widest — and the reason is almost always distance. This page exists to answer that question honestly.

Our center is in Fair Lawn, Bergen County, about twenty-five minutes from North Bergen and Secaucus, thirty from Jersey City and Kearny, thirty-five from Hoboken and forty from Bayonne outside rush hour. Route 3 west to Route 17 north to Route 4 west is the route from almost everywhere in the county; Route 495 feeds Route 3 from the waterfront towns and Kennedy Boulevard. For clients who do not drive, NJ Transit’s Main Line leaves Secaucus Junction for Paterson and Ridgewood, and our team arranges transportation for clients in the local service area — that is a real service we provide, not a line on a website.

North Jersey Recovery Center is a licensed, Joint Commission–accredited outpatient treatment center for adults with substance use disorders and co-occurring mental health conditions. Everything happens at one location, 22-08 Route 208 in Fair Lawn, and every client from Hudson County starts with the same first step: a comprehensive clinical assessment, usually the same day you call, reviewed by our clinical and medical directors to recommend a level of care. If it is a fit, you can start the next day.

• Partial Care (PHP) — full treatment days, 9:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., five days a week, with lunch provided. Typically two to five weeks before stepping down.
• Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) — three-hour blocks in the morning (9:00–12:00) or early afternoon (12:30–3:30), Monday through Friday, so you can keep working or caring for family.
• Evening IOP — 6:00 to 9:00 p.m., Monday through Thursday, for people who commute or work days.
• Outpatient counseling — weekly individual and group sessions as a step-down or a starting point.
• Medication-Assisted Treatment — buprenorphine (Suboxone), naltrexone and Vivitrol coordination, acamprosate and naloxone, prescribed by our medical team alongside therapy, with medication management available after the program ends.

Individual therapy is weekly in both Partial Care and IOP, and more often when someone needs it. If work or school hours conflict, clients can shift to a later block or make up missed hours in the evening. If medically supervised detox is needed first, we coordinate it with accredited partners and hold your place.

We work with most major insurance plans, including Horizon Blue Cross Blue Shield, Aetna, Cigna, UnitedHealthcare and Oxford, and out-of-state Blue Cross plans.
